Inspired by the rustic beauty of the dusty mesas of America's western deserts. The Western Ridge Belt is tough and created with a raised center and hand polished and waxed edges. I make each on a per order basis cut specifically for your size and options. This belt is made using three layers (yes three) of the best U.S. Full Grain leather (a world apart from that 'department store belt'!). The hardware and buckles are all solid brass and include an optional nickel plated finish. You can remove the buckle, via two Chicago Screws, and swap it with a different version. This belt is extremely durable due to the density of leather fibers in full grain leather - it may be the last belt you will ever need.
Each lined Western Ridge Belt is made by hand here in my small U.S. workshop and I provide a free tin of my shop-made leather conditioner to help keep it in great shape.
You are supporting a true American small business. Our workshop was founded in the U.S. over a decade ago. We use the highest grade full-grain vegetable tanned leather from the top U.S. Tannery (over 150 years running), as well as buy our supplies from other U.S. businesses. We are proud to be known for our honest American quality.
This belt is about 1.5 inches wide, 3/16 inches thick on the edges and 1/4 inch thick in the middle raised area.
LINED FOR STRENGTH:
Using three layers of the finest U.S. Full Grain leather glued and stitched together for an incredibly durable belt. The third layer is sandwiched in between to give the raised bump look. Most people will find this is the perfect match of durability and versatility. The inner facing layer is always Tan to prevent dye rub off, and the outer layer is your choice.
SIZE:
To get an accurate size measurement put on your current belt the way you would normally wear it. Then please see the size chart photo for details on how to get your correct belt size by measuring your own belt. Don’t use pants or waist size as it will not work and we cannot exchange or refund for size.
THREAD:
We use an extremely thick thread typically used in the saddle and horse tack industry. It’s meant to be UV resistant and holds up well over time. Currently there are two color options, Natural – which is an off-white color and Black – which may be appropriate for the black colored belts if you prefer.
BUCKLE OPTIONS:
All buckles are made of solid brass and have an outer finish of your choice. Depending on the belt style and width you choose, certain options may not be available. Currently the black PVD buckles are only available in 1.5″ widths.
PERSONALIZATION:
On this belt, personalization will go on the back side.
Note on the handmade process: Numerous tools and machines are used to make this belt, there may be the occasional marking on the leather. If it cuts into the leather, I always replace the piece before shipping out.
Discounts: Due to the amount of work required to make this type of belt it may not be eligible for the same discounts as other items in the shop.
