Here’s a look at how my customers’ purchases are aging over time. Each item will develop its own unique patina depending on how you use it, how often, and what it’s exposed to. That’s the magic of using high-end Full Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather.

This thick double layer lined belt is built with my finest U.S. full grain leather. At 1.75 inches wide it sits comfortably on the hip and will carry most any load. The Full Grain leather I use is the toughest around and highly resistant to stretch over time. Every belt is handmade in my small U.S. workshop on a per-order basis and that allows me to keep the quality several grades higher than most other makers.
This may be the last belt you will ever need and it'll certainly become your favorite. I also sell this in a single layer and the popular 1.5 inch width as well.
All buckles are solid brass and you have the option of the exterior finish. The leather I use is the top tier in the industry, called full grain leather (densest fiber count), and I source it from the best and oldest tannery in the U.S. You will not find leather that is as durable as this, or that ages with a rich patina over time. Four solid brass Chicago screws hold the buckle in place and allow you to swap it out if need be.
All edges have been sanded, beveled, burnished and waxed. Each wide lined leather belt goes out the door with a tin of my own shop made leather conditioner, meant to keep it in great shape for years to come.

We use the highest grade full-grain vegetable tanned leather from the top U.S. Tannery (over 150 years running), as well as buy our supplies from other U.S. businesses. This belt is about 1.75 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick (that’s about four stacked quarters).
DOUBLE LAYER STYLE:
Using two layers of the finest U.S. Full Grain leather glued and stitched together for an incredibly durable belt. Most people will find this is the perfect match of durability and versatility. The inner facing layer is always Tan to prevent dye rub off, and the outer layer is your choice.
DOUBLE LAYER + STEEL REINFORCEMENT:
By far the strongest lined belt around. You can load up this belt with a fair amount (think mag light, knife sheath, etc..). I use a high grade of spring steel sandwiched in between the leather starting just before the tightest hole setting and ending just before the Chicago screws. The belt is highly resistant to pinching on the width and bowing overall. It’s actually still fairly comfortable to wear.
DOUBLE LAYER + WEBBING:
An alternate to the steel core is the nylon webbing reinforcement. Webbing is known for the fact that it will not stretch and when placed inside a double layer full grain belt, it does it’s job well to help prevent stretch. The leather I use on these belts generally will not stretch much at all after the initial few weeks of break in, but over time if you carry items on your belt often, then this may be a good compromise.
SIZE:
To get an accurate size measurement put on your current belt the way you would normally wear it. Then please see the size chart photo for details on how to get your correct belt size by measuring your own belt. Don’t use pants or waist size as it will not work and we cannot exchange or refund for size.
THREAD:
We use an extremely thick thread typically used in the saddle and horse tack industry. It’s meant to be UV resistant and holds up well over time. Currently there are two color options, Natural – which is an off-white color and Black – which may be appropriate for the black colored belts if you prefer.
BUCKLE OPTIONS:
All buckles are made of solid brass and have an outer finish of your choice. Depending on the belt style and width you choose, certain options may not be available. Currently the black PVD buckles are only available in 1.5″ width belts.
PERSONALIZATION:
On this belt, personalization will go on the back side on the tan liner next to the maker stamp or between the chicago screws on the backside of the belt. Each personalization will be surrounded by two diamond marks.
Note on the handmade process: Numerous tools and machines are used to make this belt, there may be the occasional marking on the leather. If it cuts into the leather, I always replace the piece before shipping out. Very rarely the sewing machine will ‘skip a stitch’ resulting in one slightly longer stitch about a fraction of a millimeter in length. In order to remedy this I cut that stitch out, and re-stitch about 3 stitches before and 3 after. This in turn makes it even stronger and you may not even notice. That said it is worth mentioning here as it can be a part of the handmade process
