How to Print Patterns

In order to get the proper size print of your purchased pattern, please follow the instructions below. Larger patterns will need to be printed on multiple sheets, then cut and taped together. Alternatively if you are unable to print the larger pattern, you can have a local copy shop (Kinko’s) print the pattern for you by giving them the file.

Smaller Patterns

If your pattern is small enough to print on one page, you can open it in your normal image viewing program. Just make sure you set the scale to 100% in the print options. You can then compare the ‘measured line’ on the pattern and see if the measurement matches your ruler.

If the pattern prints off the edge of the paper, you will need to follow the printing instructions below.

Larger Patterns

If your pattern is too large to fit on one 8.5″ x 11″ page, then you will need to follow the instructions below.

  1. Download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader Here.
  2. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader
  3. Select “File” > “Print”
  4. In the print options box select “Poster”
  5. Set “Tile Scale” to 100%
  6. You should see a preview to the right
  7. Select “Print”
  8. Cut and tape your pattern together
