First Place: The Wood and Moss Necklace of course! Shipped right to your front door.

Second Place: You get to pick out a fish (from the photo below) that I am going to put in my fish tank. (I need more fish, the others are lonely)

crusty old books with that great mossy smell and of course surfing… if only I could figure out a way to take pen and paper out with me…

  2. Shaneyl says:

Sinister hair, cotton flowers and cold blues inspire me.

And I just don’t think second place is fair at all. That poor little Hatchet fish, that face! He looks mortified by the shear thought that anyone could pick over him.

  3. Marissa says:

    Facebooked it out!

Rich, deep, intense colour inspires me and I love to touch fabric – It reminds me of hugs, shelter, comfort, expression and creativity.

    Tweeted it out!

Oh and I stumbled it AND G+ it to my circles as well. My blog has no followers so I figured that was a little more relevant 🙂

  5. leigh says:

I’m inspired by cowboys. oh wait, no, I mean Indians. (ps. don’t pick me since I’ve already been the recipient of one of your amazing pieces)

liked you on facebook!!! I had actually featured you on my blog awhile back 😉 when I was window shopping for my birthday!

What inspires me? What doesn’t inspire me is more the question!!! But, if I have to hone it down I would say…..old vintage maps, freshly harvested high desert sagebrush, the smell of the desert after a monsoon rain, found rocks and small unusual wood chips. And right now, 180 Degrees South. A MUST SEE! (although I’m sure you have seen it already ;))

And what the hell inspires me? Well, I am in love with fashion. I’m inspired by soft pastels, lace, and feminine silhouettes. I love looking at beautifully draped clothing. I’m also inspired by architecture, especially modern designs.

I can’t wait to get my hands on one of your pieces!
And I’ve liked you on facebook.

  8. Olivia J says:

    (same as above)
Oh oops, I was supposed to answer in one sentence!
I am inspired by modern architecture and feminine fashion, like lace, silk, and soft drapery.

  9. MaJo @ MissBird says:

    Hi! 🙂
First, I love your work is super original.
I really inspired the sunny days and warm, singing birds and the silence of my house early in the morning. I am inspired a book and a story, a movie, a song. I think it depends on how I feel, but basically these are some of the things that cause me a boost.

Shared in google+, FB & twitter. Thanks for the opportunity!
    MaJo

“Inspiration is everywhere” is the tag line on my own blog so I would say that there is no limit to what can inspire, from the mundane every day flotsam and jetsam of life to high art, music, food and of course the people you love!

    Enjoy the day!
    Erin

  11. Sarah Hladek says:

What the hell inspires me??? When I close my eyes at night and see colors, designs, shapes and space dancing in my head, I am inspired to quit my job and give myself more time to find that place during the rest of my life. Since it started happening about a year ago, I have found more and more time to create and enjoy sharing my work with others. I plan to be a full-time creator in the near future because it’s as if it is calling me.

hi mr.lentz, thank you so much for your invitation, your giveaway necklace is quite amazing..
so. travelling inspires me the most, the farther and longer – the better. sometimes when I come back home to ireland my mind refuses to return and i sleep-walk for some time, digesting the new impressions. with every new (or sometimes even revisited) place that perspective expands just a little bit further, opens some new doors inside. to me this is inspiration..

I think it might be easier to list the things that don’t inspire me! I’m inspired by growth, by the seasons, by cartoons, by the post office and machines, I’m inspired by coffee, old bicycles, and lists.

  17. Megan says:

I liked your facebook page. My inspiration is found in the little details. Today I was taking pictures of jellyfish tentacles… it helps that I work at an aquarium, lots of inspiration there. You should come pick out a bigger fish for your tank 😉

waaaah! how in the world did i forget to submit an entry for this? i was in rush when i saw this in my google reader and then forgot to come back to it to enter! gaaaaah!

so sorry to hear about your fish. 🙁 but, i am curious to see what new one will be added to the tank. i think all those choices are pretty cool myself. actually, this past weekend, i spent some time nursing one of our 3 guppies back to health. my son had brought home a guppy as part of a mini aquaponics system he made in summer school. unfortunately, the system failed, and we were left with a guppy…his pet that he named steve. now i felt badly for steve and did research on guppies, and now we have a 2.5 gallon tank and two friends for steven. anyways…one of the three was sick, but i think all is good now. now that was a sneaky way for my son to have a “pet!” ha ha ha!

congrats to the winners! 🙂 what a fun contest that was! 🙂

I am inspired by so many things it’s hard to just put down one…you didn’t say just one so here goes…walking and running on the beach at sunrise, then going in the water, (here in South Florida, it is gorgeous), making beaded earrings, bracelets and necklaces, making floral arrangements, making handpainted furniture, accessories and murals, making or sewing anything new and different!, driftwood, shells, good looking sexy men, good looking sexy women, beautiful clothes, handcrafted furntiture, waterfalls, miniature handmade waterfalls, tiny miniature handmade art objects, hand made pottery and clay objects, hand made tiles, hand tiled tables, chairs and furniture, cooking and baking anything new and exciting, haitian art, surfing the internet, repairing computers, music of all kinds, You Tube!, dancing to all kinds of music, hot, tropical, vibrant colors, little newborn babies, cute little children, sad, lonely, abused and hurting people, rainbows!, moss!, going into a bead store and being surrounded by thousands of beads!, well, I guess I better stop somewhere, but I could go on forever…
