How to Make A Thumb Break Style Holster

This video is intended to be an add-on to my main holster making series. I provide all of the extra steps in addition to the main series – in order to make a holster with a thumb break. The thumb break helps to keep your handgun secure, while providing easy access via the quick flick of your thumb.

A Few Extra Notes

Make sure to keep that strap longer than needed until the final step of measuring. You’ll want to get that fit nice and tight, so measure, and re-measure again before marking the leather for strap cutting.

Tools + Materials Needed

Below are the tools and materials needed in addition to those needed for the main tutorial series:

I sell various tools and supplies in my online shop here as well ➔

If I don’t have an item shown in the video listed here, I don’t have a link for it so you may have to search around to find a supplier. Links directing to an amazon product are paid links and help to support the creation of my tutorial videos.
